High Park Brewery is proud to be a Certified Benefit Corporation® and equally proud to be the first brewery in the GTA to obtain this certification!
Benefit Corporations (or B Corps for short!) are leaders of the global movement of people using business as a force for good. Not just good for High Park Brewery, but good for all stakeholders including our employees, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.
Certified B Corps must meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The certification process is thorough and measures each company’s impact on all its stakeholders - only those companies that meet rigorous standards are certified.
There are currently over 2,000 Certified B Corps from more than 120 industries in 50 countries sharing 1 unifying goal – to redefine success in business and make the world a better place. [Check out for up to date stats]
B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to compete not only to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world.
It’s like Fair Trade certification but for the whole business, not just a bag of coffee (or USDA Organic certification, but not just for a carton of milk; or LEED certification, but not just for a building).
The performance standards B Corps meet are comprehensive, transparent and verified. Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions not only on their shareholders, but also on their stakeholders. We firmly believe in these ideals and encourage you to find out more by clicking the image above.
